Cyprus Memorial Service – We Remember July 20, 1974
On July 20, 1974, Turkey invaded the Republic of Cyprus, beginning a tragedy that cost thousands of lives, left many missing, forced families from their ancestral homes, and divided the island in a wound that remains open to this day.
This memorial service is held to honor the memory of those who lost their lives, to remember the refugees and missing persons, and to remind the next generations that Cyprus’ history must not be forgotten.
